2015 SOUTH EAST SUNS AFC INAUGURAL COACHES ANNOUNCED

The Southeast SUNS are proud to announce the appointment of the vastly experienced David Sloan as the senior coach for the 2015 season. Sloan comes to the club with a long list of involvement in senior level coaching with AFLQ clubs Surfers Paradise, Beenleigh and the Logan City Cobras. David is excited by the opportunity to develop an exciting skilful game style and strong football culture which will allow the club to grow and progress through the grades. His past achievements are vast and include back to back Reserves premierships with Surfers Paradise in 2012 & 2013. He is a Logan life member and 200 game player. For the Reserves, we are proud to announce Bruce Cure as the 2015 Reserves Coach. Bruce was the 2014 coach for the former Logan City Cobras and played over 100 games for them spanning back to the early 2000’s after previously playing for the former Marsden Hawks. Before then Bruce played for St Virgils in the Hobart based Old Scholars Football Association in Tasmania as well as senior football for then State League sides Glenorchy and Hobart. Bruce is very knowledgable and will bring a high level of enthusiasm and rapport with the playing group. The Under 19’s coach and assistant coaches for the Seniors and Reserves will be announced in the near future. We congratulate both David & Bruce on their respective appointments and look forward to working with you both. A new dawn is rising, it’s our time to shine!
